 Designers FAQ:

1 - Who can join thestuduo.com?
Thestuduo.com is open to any Designer, artist or talented person who would like to show up his work, get recognition and at the same time earn money from selling his product/s through our website.
2 - Can anyone, worldwide, join The Studuo?
Yes, people from all over the world can join our community.
3 - Is there a fee for joining The Studuo?
There is absolutely no fee to join us.
4 - What do i get from joining The Studuo?
As soon as you join as a Designer and submit your first product, you shall receive an email with an agreement explaining in detail the contract between you and us. But the whole idea is that, you will give us the right to manufacture and sell your product on order basis and we will give you a percentage of the sale value. Not only that, but we will represent you in front of any manufacturer who is willing to buy the royalty of any of your designs. In return, if your products sell the most, you will be rewarded by having your name and your product over our home page for a specific period.
5 - I joined the studuo but i can't see my profile over the website?
In order for you profile to be active, you need to have at least one product that is approved by The Studuo. You need first to upload at least one design using the upload button on your profile page. This design will be automatically sent to the administrator where our committee will have its decision made on whether or not to adopt the design. The committee review might take up to 3 working days.

Once at least one of your products gets approved, your profile page will be automatically active along with your approved item/s.
6 - How can i submit my Ideas & Designs?
Log in using your user name and password, click on "Upload a Design" link and then follow the instructions as shown. Your file needs to be compressed to RAR or ZIP in order to be uploaded. The system will not allow the upload of any other files. Maximum file size acceptable is 8Mb. Please make sure the uploaded data contains the necessary data of about your product such as clear drawings, sketches or rendered image/s, clear indication of the material/s used, overall dimensions, etc.
7 - How many products can I submit?
You can submit as many designs as you need though each product will need to be submitted in a separate compressed folder.
8 - What kind of format can be submitted within the compressed folder?
We accept the following formats: JPEG, TIFF, BMP, PDF, DWG.
9 - Who is the committee behind The Studuo?
The idea behind Thestuduo.com came as collaboration between well-known Interior Designers & Architects who have been in the business for so many years and each one of them runs his own successful company. An award-winning International Icon is soon to join our committee. We special announcement will be published soon.
10 - How long will the committee take to decide on a design?
Normally, the committee members will take 3 working days to review the submitted designs.
11 - How will I know if my design gets accepted?
You will be notified by email upon each design approval.
12 -Who will determine the selling price of my product and what will be my share?
The complexity, material and the size will basically determine the selling price of each product. All numbers will be shared with the designer. All correspondences to take place by email.
13 - Where will you manufacture my product?

Each product is treated as a project by its own. Depending on the complexity of the design, the product shall be sent to the right facility. Some of the products will be manufactured in our factories. Our factories house the best skilled workers and craftsmen of all trades. In some specific cases, a product might be manufactured in Europe.
14 - Can I select the quality level of the manufactured item?
The number one rule at The Studuo is that we shall never compromise on quality. We shall only select the products that we know we can manufacture with a class “A” quality.
15 - What if I have special requirement or additional information about my design that was not shown on the submitted data?
When uploading a file, you can write your requirements or information in the “Message” field.
16 - Will you help me select the appropriate material for my product?
Being in the business for so many years we can always recommend or propose material for your product if we feel that your selected material has any negative aspect on that particular design. We will be communicating through emails.
17 - What if i decided to remove a submitted product?
Once you submit a product it cannot be removed. Only the administrator will have the right to delete any of the products.
18 - Can I delete my profile?
 If you decide to delete your profile, you need to send a request to support@thestuduo.com and we shall de-activate your account within 48Hrs.
19 - What if a manufacturer decided to buy the royalty of any of my submitted products?
 We will be representing you in front of any manufacturer who decides to buy the royalty of any of your products. You will be contacted by phone or email to discuss details.
20 - How will The Studuo reward me as a designer?
The more you are talented and people love and buy your products, the more we will help you to be recognized by advertising your name and products through different channel, online and offline, and for specific periods. These channels could be anything from our social media pages i.e. Facebook & Linkedin to printed ads and brochures or any other media mean.
21 - My design is posted on the website, how should i know if someone buys it?
Whenever a client buys any of your products, you shall be notified by email automatically.
22 - How will The Studuo pay me my fees?
Whenever any of your products sells the first time you shall receive a statement of account regularly showing you the balance in your account. The money will be transferred to your bank account on a regular basis as agreed on and as described in the agreement form that you received when you created the account.
23 - How about copyrights? Will The Studuo be copyrighting my designs?
The internet is full of articles about copyrights and what they protect and what is the limit of protection. We always recommend the Designers to protect their designs with copyrights, it’s an easy process and the fees are normally minimal. But there are some facts about copyrights that Designers should know like copyright does not protect facts, ideas, systems, or methods of operation.
You can simply copyright a sketch or drawing of your product. So in reality, copyright law simply does not give furniture designers much of a leg to stand on. In all cases a work is protected by Copyright the moment it is created. However registering your work does provide you with extra protections.
